Only 10 weeks left and baby Ava will be here!! We still don't have any middle names, so suggestions are welcome! We're here in Panama City on our last official vacation. Maybe we'll get some inspiration for a middle name while we are here!
So...we're finally in the third trimester. Doc visit went good. Ava's heart rate is good, she's measuring fine, and I've gained 22 lbs so far! We've gotten the nursery painted, but dont have much in it so far. Next month we buy furniture! And for now, we're looking forward to one last vacation to the beach next weekend before our new little one arrives. 11 weeks and counting!!
Baby Ava won't be here for another 14 weeks, but we do have a new addition!! Welcome home Rocky!! Rocky's a 2 1/2 year old pure bread boxer. And a fabulous playmate for Jazmin. They get along great, and he's a welcome edition to our (growing) family! We're quickly outgrowing our house! :O)
I'm not sure how Jazmin feels yet about our new edition on the way. She has definitely been kicked a few times, and she looks up at me like I did it. But she still hasn't given up her favorite spot to lay! She's quickly running out of room though!
We've decided....on a first name...drum roll please....Ava!! Ava Mandeville! It has a nice flow to it, huh? We haven't picked a middle name yet, but we'll get there eventually. Miss Ava is kicking every hour and a half and I can see her making my stomach move! Jason and Aubri haven't "seen" her move yet, but Jason has felt her. I go for my "sugar" test tomorrow. Yuck. And the doc should start measuring my stomach at my visits from now on. We'll keep you updated!
So, now were down to 18 weeks left. Our baby girl is the size of a "summer squash" now, and weighs about a pound and a half. I can believe it. I'd been having some pretty strong upper back pain, and when I called the nurse about how to get it to go away, they wanted me to come in and be monitored just in case. So I did, and found out I was having Braxton Hicks contractions. (never had those with aubri). And I had no idea they could present in your back. Apparantly they can! Doc also said it's cause the baby is so big and I am so small. So they monitored the fetal heart rate, and it was normal, so I just get to get used to it! As long as Baby Girl Mandeville is ok, then I'll deal with some discomfort. It's all worth it!
19 weeks left....so just a small update for now. Our lil girl is moving around like crazy! I promise you she's is doing cart wheels in there! She moves at least 6 times a day, and it's always around the same time. (I don't even have to be paying attention to that yet, but I am!) We really need to sit down and talk about names!
