Ava is here! Early!!
Well, this past two weeks has been an interesting time for sure! That's why it's taken so long to post an update. I went to the hospital with high blood pressure on July 6th. I was admitted and had to stay two nights. They released me on July 8th and sent me home on bedrest, with a plan of most likely rescheduling my c-section to the following Monday since my doc didn't expect my BP to go down once I got back on my feet. So I left the hospital and went to Target to get a few last minute items since I wouldnt' be able to go to the store once I got home on bed rest. Then, I went home, put a few things away in the nursery, and my friend Kerri stopped by to visit. (she's pregnant as well, due two weeks after me, but two days prior this posting had baby Seth!). She and I were sitting on the couch talking, and all of a sudden my water broke! Thank goodness she was here since Jason was at work. I called my doc, and she told me to come straight to her office. So I did, and Jason even beat us to the hospital! She did an exam and sent me directly to "recovery" to prepare for my c-section. (not sure why recovery, since I hadn't had the c-section yet). I had eaten at 11 that day, so we had to wait to have the c-section until around 9:00. They prepped me and Jason both, and took us back, and Ava Joy Mandeville was born at 9:53 pm! Imagine our surprise when they said she weighed 9 lbs 6 oz! She was 20 inches long and turned and looked back at us from the table they weighed her on! We were taken to a room, and she had to be monitored for a few hours because she had a little bit of fluid on her lungs. Unfortunately, after that, she had to spend some time in the NICU and then had jaundice as well. So we ended up spending a total of 7 days at the hospital. We were so ready to go home and take Ava with us, and see Aubri and be a family! Finally we got to go home, Ava's jaundice went away, and Aubri said it was "kinda cool" being a big sister.
More to come!!!

Official Due Date - July 27th @ 12:00
So, I'm now scheduled for a c-section on July 24th. Doc says if I go into labor on my own anytime 36 weeks or beyond, that they wont stop labor, they'll just go ahead and do the c-section. We'd prefer her to at least wait until 37 or 38 weeks, but a little early would be ok! We can't wait to meet our new little girl!

New Due Date!!
So, I had my 32 week check up this morning. All was good. I've gained a total of 28 lbs so far, and Ava is growing right on track! Doc said that since Aubri was a c-section, and we know I'm having another c-section this time too, that they'll most likely do it a week before I"m due. I can't get too big cause then I'd run the risk of tearing my existing scar. So now my due date/surgery date is probably July 24th. Yay!! That means only seven more weeks until our baby girl is here, and only 6 more weeks of work for me! (assuming doc approves that). Time's ticking down fast!

11 weeks to go...3rd Trimester! Finally!!
So...we're finally in the third trimester. Doc visit went good. Ava's heart rate is good, she's measuring fine, and I've gained 22 lbs so far! We've gotten the nursery painted, but dont have much in it so far. Next month we buy furniture! And for now, we're looking forward to one last vacation to the beach next weekend before our new little one arrives. 11 weeks and counting!!

Our Little Girl Has A Name!!
We've decided....on a first name...drum roll please....Ava!! Ava Mandeville! It has a nice flow to it, huh? We haven't picked a middle name yet, but we'll get there eventually. Miss Ava is kicking every hour and a half and I can see her making my stomach move! Jason and Aubri haven't "seen" her move yet, but Jason has felt her. I go for my "sugar" test tomorrow. Yuck. And the doc should start measuring my stomach at my visits from now on. We'll keep you updated!

22 weeks...and an unplanned check up
So, now were down to 18 weeks left. Our baby girl is the size of a "summer squash" now, and weighs about a pound and a half. I can believe it. I'd been having some pretty strong upper back pain, and when I called the nurse about how to get it to go away, they wanted me to come in and be monitored just in case. So I did, and found out I was having Braxton Hicks contractions. (never had those with aubri). And I had no idea they could present in your back. Apparantly they can! Doc also said it's cause the baby is so big and I am so small. So they monitored the fetal heart rate, and it was normal, so I just get to get used to it! As long as Baby Girl Mandeville is ok, then I'll deal with some discomfort. It's all worth it!

19 Weeks Left...and Counting!!
19 weeks left....so just a small update for now. Our lil girl is moving around like crazy! I promise you she's is doing cart wheels in there! She moves at least 6 times a day, and it's always around the same time. (I don't even have to be paying attention to that yet, but I am!) We really need to sit down and talk about names!

~IT'S A GIRL!!!!!~
It's a girl!!!! It's a girl!!! We found out yesterday that we are having a little baby girl! yay! We're so happy. Don't have any names picked out yet though. But I think we have plenty of time. She is currently 12 oz, and already a drama queen! She didnt want to cooperate for the "camera" so that we could see that "she" was a "she" at all! Finally, after moving around, eating something, and a second ultrasound, she let us know! She's developing perfectly so far, and we couldn't be happier! Aubri was thrilled when we told her she was getting a little sister. 144 more days!!

Baby on board!!!
At this point, we're 14 weeks into our pregnancy. Baby Mandeville is due on August 1st, but already mom is huge! Even a few people have mentioned twins! (mom doesn't think that's very funny though)
The next doctor appointment is set for February 12, and then on March 12 (two days before big sister Aubri turns 5!) we find out what we are having!
